Ground Gas Protection: Design & Detail

Our Ground Gas Design & Detail course provides key knowledge and practical insights into this specialist sector of construction. Developing an understanding in all aspects of contaminated ground gas remediation strategies.

Delivered over two days this course covers a range of subjects from initial site investigation and planning, to a completed and validated protection system. Open to both members and non-members of the PCA.

Who is this ground gas design & detail course for?

Over the course of this two-day training event, all aspects of ground gas contamination are explored. Giving a detailed insight into this specialist area where multiple disciplines are brought together in the aim of providing safe environments for the end user and compliance with planning condition discharge.

This training is aimed at Developers, Contractors, Specifiers, Verification Engineers, and those encountering ground gas issues on their projects.


Structure of our ground gas design & detail training

Delivered over two days, this course covers theory and practical (workshop) elements consisting of the following topics:

Note: This training is not part of any NVQ qualification. At the end of the workshop, attendees will receive a certificate of knowledge and attendance.


Materials and tools required for training

Attendees will be provided with all gas membrane materials for the practical elements of the day. They will also be provided with specialist tooling* (heat guns, rollers, scissors, and the construction materials to form the temporary structures and details for the installation of the gas membrane).

* Any attendees who wish to supply their own heat gun and hand tools must ensure that the appliance has a valid PAT certificate & a visible PAT label attached.
