Flooding hits the headlines again!
Many of you will have seen the headlines this week as many towns and cities up and down the country have been affected by more flooding - perhaps not to the levels we would normally see in the press, given other world issues taking precedence…. However as we have reported in a number of blogs recently, flooding is occurring on an increasingly regular basis and more action needs to be taken when it comes to the adoption of property flood protection. For individuals that have sadly experienced it and have gone through the pain to bring their properties back to a liveable state, the potential risk of flooding never really subsides from the back of your mind. For a long time, your Association has tried to increase awareness on the topic. There can be little doubt now that these events are becoming more frequent. Is it the case attitudes need to change when it comes to flood protection? Absolutely! We need to adopt a proactive rather than reactive approach when it comes to flooding. It was a subject PCA's CEO Steve Hodgson recently blogged about within his 'Hodgson's View'. See what he has to say by clicking the button below...

New online course launched!
We are delighted to advise that we have launched our latest online training course for surveyors, which goes live in April! The 'Bamboos and other Invasive Grasses' course is aimed at both PCA members and non-members already working in the invasive weed sector and/or for those looking to develop their knowledge and experience in the identification, assessment and management of invasive plants. Likewise, with our other online courses, this is a great way for members to access training as the remote format enables candidates to complete the modules at their own pace, either in an office or home environment. Secure your place today! Contact the training team on 01480 400000 or email [email protected]. For more information, click on the button below....
