Thanks for everything Steve
Yesterday marked Steve Hodgson's last day at the PCA. Steve dedicated a quarter of a century to the PCA and we couldn't let the opportunity pass by without sharing our gratitude to Steve and all that he has done for the Association, the members and the PCA team.
In this latest blog, past and present Chairs of the PCA Board have shared their memories of working with Steve along with our 'farewell' video you may have seen played at this years' awards.

Guest blog: Managing client expectations
PCA member, Lesley Vachre from Three Shires has written a guest blog surrounding managing expectations with customers/clients. Lesley draws upon her experience and discusses the challenges we all face when managing expectations versus the requirements of the job. Furthermore, Lesley goes onto share advice on how she best prepares clients however, if the client does not agree, is walking away from a job the best course of action?

A BBC drama...
This week on a live BBC programme, the topic of damp issues in the home was discussed. However there were comments made in the segment surrounding a lot of 'rogue trader action' within the industry. Deputy CEO James Berry discusses this further and what actions the PCA have taken in order to raise awareness to the BBC about the high standards of PCA members.

PCA shortlisted for two CABE awards!
The CABE Built Environment Awards are a marker of industry standards, and likewise with our own awards, recognise winners for excellence, ingenuity and best practice.
If you missed this news across social media yesterday, we are delighted to share that your association has been shortlisted for two CABE awards! The categories entered are: Health & Wellbeing (Certified Specialist in Dwelling Ventilation (CSDV) course) and Learning & Development.

- 7th December: Members' Meeting (held via zoom) A great opportunity for all members to join and hear direct from the executive team and contribute to matters that are important to you and your business.
- 12th December: Structural Waterproofing Group Meeting (held at the PCA Head Office). Members are invited to hear about and contribute to the important developments within the waterproofing sector.
