UKIEG Conference 2019
Our KTP Associate Dr Paula Lopez-Arce attended the UKIEG’s annual conference last week: “Emerging Issues in Indoor Environmental Quality: Science and Policy”. Attended by academics, policy makers and industry experts, topics included:
- How important is indoor air pollution in UK homes?
- Ventilation and overheating requirements of the Building Regulations
- Guidance and criteria for healthy and comfortable environments: update from CIBSE and the Good Homes Alliance
- Proposing indoor air quality guidelines for selected VOCs in the UK
The event was extremely interesting, covering topics of huge importance to many of our members and indeed, to the work we are doing through our own KTP project.

PCA Supports Charity Golf Day
Last week the PCA technical team attended the DB Group charity golf day. The day was held to raise funds for the Lighthouse Club who provide financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families.
The day not only gave the team the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf and support a great charity, but also to engage with architects and contractors who have an interest in waterproofing.
