With dampness and mould still receiving high levels of media attention, there is no doubt that there has been a seismic shift in people's attitudes towards damp in homes. This year's conference draws attention to these issues, from looking at whether we have a crisis to "what's coming ahead."

- 09.20: Introduction from Session Chair - James Berry, PCA
- 09.25: The Housing Ombudsman Report: Property Care, is Knowledge and Information management the silver bullet? - Alan Park, The Housing Ombudsman: The last 12 months will unquestionably have been some of the busiest in the Housing Ombudsman's history. What steps they have taken to improve the quality of housing, the impact of the events in Rochdale and actions taken since.
- 09.45: The biggest challenges in social housing - Kwajo Tweneboa: A look at what isn’t acceptable and what we must address when it comes to the quality of our social housing.
- 10.05: The challenges for the private rental sector - TBC, HMO Network: Is the issue of dampness more prevalent in private rented properties and what are the challenges of addressing dampness in these buidings?
- 10.25: Could it be lifestyle? Has the balance swung too far? - James Berry, PCA: Since the housing ombudsman report questioned the use of the term lifestyle – we consider what this means and if sometimes, it could be down to the way the building is occupied and the importance of supporting any claim with appropriate diagnostics.

- 11.30: The challenges of retrofit - Lady Renee Young, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea: The challenges of providing a successful retrofit project from the perspective of a local authority and the consequences when it goes wrong.
- 11.50: Insulating suspended timber floors: What is the best approach or should we leave them alone? - Ron Fenwick, Installation Assurance Authority: The do’s and dont's of insulating suspended timber floors, what should we be considering or should they be left alone?
- 12.10: The property market forecast - Kate Faulkner, OBE: Is the housing market at its most uncertain since the 2007-08 crash? Kate will be providing some insight into what may happen with the property market.

- 14.25: Introduction from Session Chair - Steve Hodgson, PCA
- 14.30: Surface waterproofing as a means of controlling water ingress into masonry walls - Henry Zhu, UCL: A look at the research being carried out into the use of water repellent on cavity walls.
- 14.50: Structural drying techniques - Alan James, Dantherm Group: An understanding of drying techniques following penetrating damp issues or escape of water, techniques and limitations etc.
- 15.10: Flood testing facilities: What have we learnt? - David Ramsbottom, HR Wallingford: An introduction to the flood house, aims of the project and any early outcomes.
- 15.40-16.10: How do we get ventilation and thermal efficiency working in harmony?
