PCA Awards 2011
As the event’s guest speaker, Graham shared recollections from more than 26 years in the game and 1544 matches – including high profile matches within the Premiership, UEFA Europa League and 2 FIFA World Cups.
For many football fans he is remembered for issuing three yellow cards to the same player at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
Graham was sponsored for the event by GPT Ltd.
Now in their third year, the PCA awards celebrate the cream of UK businesses working in the building preservation and protection sector.
After Graham’s talk, presentations began with the Student of the Year Awards in three categories – the Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT), Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) and Technician of the Year.
The PCA Awards for Training, Sustainability, Innovation and Customer Focus then followed.
These were judged by an independent panel consisting of Graham Perrior, Head of Standards at the National House Building Council, Douglas Kent, Technical Secretary at the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings, Roman Russocki, Chief Executive of TrustMark and Geoff Lister, Chairman of the Cross-Industry Apprenticeship Task Force.
