New 'Test Wall' video
We introduced you to our new 'Test Wall', which the PCA Technical team have recently built at the Practical Training Centre with the idea of running a number of experiments using an array of tools, to compare and contrast the readings, ease of use, accuracy etc,. Now, we are aware people may have built test walls before. But we are pretty sure no one has recorded real time videos of these experiments and equipment tests on walls like this. We look forward to sharing additional videos with you over the coming weeks and months as we begin the experimentation phase, but for now, you can view the introduction video by clicking on the button below.

Pocket book that 'packs a punch'!
We extend our congratulations to PCA member Jim Glaister of The Knotweed Company Ltd, whose new book “What you need to know about Japanese knotweed – a UK guide for the non-specialist”, has just been published! Jim gave up many weekends and holidays (and a bit of lockdown time) to bring this to fruition, all whilst holding down a challenging day job surveying invasive weeds! PCA's Technical Manager Peter Fitzsimons says: “This is a pocket book that packs a big punch. It gets right to the heart of issues that homeowners really need to understand, whether they are buying, selling or contemplating the management of Japanese knotweed. Amazingly it covers (almost) everything but in digestible format and detail which is a hard thing to do when you know as much as Jim does!” Copies are available from the publishers, which you can access by clicking on the button below...
