Have you booked your place at the Conference?
With just 40 days until the ‘2022 International Property Care Conference’, the question is... have you booked your ticket yet?! This years programme will provide members with a fantastic opportunity to learn from and engage with the very best in the industry, including speakers such as:
- Alan Park, Housing Ombudsman Service who will be discussing the impacts of the Ombudsman Report (October 2021). How building professionals must do better for their tenants, the improvements that are needed in the approach to managing damp in tenanted properties and the misplaced assertion that tenants can be blamed for the dampness in their homes.
- The RICS, in collaboration with Historic England and PCA, will publicly launch the highly significant and much anticipated joint statement: 'Investigation of moisture and its effects on traditional buildings - Principles and competencies'. Presented by Dr Duncan Philips (RICS), Historic England & James Berry (PCA), this unique initiative promises to be the start of a new era for moisture diagnostics. It will see industry, surveying and heritage collaborate and agree (where previously they have been divided) on the skill and knowledge required for damp detection in traditional buildings.
And that's not all! We have a packed programme full of incredible speakers and over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing details on each of them and what their presentation will focus on.

Many of you will know that heat and water-stressed plants are less susceptible to herbicide treatments, but other than re-scheduling visits, there is not much you can do.
